So I tried to write. Admittedly the first dozen attempts or so were complete and utter crap. Still, I received some good reviews, praise, both sincere and snobbish criticism and I kept trying to refine my work. I continued to toss out the crap and kept the good, then started working away at all that was crappy within the good and so on and so forth. Several years later I like to hope that I'm a halfway decent writer now, but I'm still striving to be a little better in each chapter I post.
What other things do you like to do besides writing?
I like reading, obviously, and playing video games. I also really enjoy travelling, too. From my home base in Australia I've been to New Zealand, Canada, and the USA. It's my dream to go on a cruise down along the Rhine in Germany, from Amsterdam to Zurich. No... scratch that. My real dream is to travel to every major corner of the world!
I used to hike a lot when I was younger, but I don't really do much of that anymore now that I've finished school. I'm not necessarily an outdoorsy person, though I really wish I was, but it's great to leap out of your element every so often and just have fun. It's amazing the kind of experiences you can pull out of something like that.
Oh, I'm also something of a novice at making plush toys. It all started when I played that freeware game Cave Story and the sprites looked so simple I thought I'd have a go at turning them into plushies and cushions. I was rather proud of the results.
